Granny in the garden

A woman in a grey top and dark trousers stands on a garden path, surrounded by beds of broad green leaves. Her figure forms a quiet vertical shape among the plants. Taller foliage rises behind her, while a pale sky remains visible above the garden.

Loose watercolor washes bring together the greens of the leaves and the brown earth. Darker patches separate the beds from the path, and small orange accents appear along the right edge. The figure is lightly described, with the surrounding garden given much of the space within the composition.
