I create original contemporary paintings primarily in oil and watercolor. My work grows out of images and experiences that stay with me — childhood memories, landscapes from journeys, familiar objects, or people whose character I want to understand through portraiture.
Certain forms and details return from one work to another, gradually taking on a symbolic role. Each piece is created individually by hand and exists as a one-of-a-kind original.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Images that stay with me
My work begins with things that remain with me. It may be a childhood memory, a landscape from a journey, an event, or a small detail that I keep returning to. Painting allows me to give those impressions a form and see how they change through color, line and material.
Some images reappear across different works and gradually become part of my personal visual vocabulary. In portraits, I focus on what makes a person distinct, using each mark to bring their character into focus.
ART FOR INTERIORS
Original art made to live with
Original art can become part of a space without needing to dominate it. The intimate scale of many of my works makes them suited to bedrooms, workspaces, gallery walls and quieter areas of a home, while each piece retains the presence of an individual handmade object.
Works are created on paper, panel and other traditional supports, depending on the medium and the image.
