Bite I

A seated figure draws their knees close to the body among tall stems, flowers and rounded plant forms. Pale fabric crosses the figure and falls over the bent legs, while bare feet rest against the brown foreground. Dark angular shapes occupy the upper left, with orange flowers and green stems reaching into the lighter areas above.

Blue and pale clusters gather around the figure, contrasting with the vertical green forms on the right. Transparent watercolor washes and fine outlines connect the separate shapes. The difference in scale between the person and the surrounding plants gives this small scene an enclosed, dreamlike quality.
